Connecting to the kids is really important to me. I remember so distinctly feeling like our nanny didn’t care for us at all, and it made me so sad. I don’t want any child I nanny to ever feel that I don’t care about them. Kids needs consistency in their lives, and I want to be that, at the very least.

I remember telling my rendition of The Three Little Pigs to a set of twins and afterwards their favorite thing to say to eachother was “not by the hair on my chinny chin chin”. They were 4 year olds and had no such hair anyway.
