A little bit about me

Hi! I'm jye! I'm a filipina and I have a 1 year old daughter. I'm a part-time caregiver working with elderly and assisting them with their basic needs. I worked and volunteered in a children's recovery Unit and facilities related with kids that has disabilities in the Philippines, I also received a training with newborn/infant and toddler care and I am a certified first aider
I plan to go to nursing school and I think babysitting job will be the best fit for me while studying because it is the job that I enjoy the most, kids are my stress reliever they are full of joy and fun to be with.
I also have an 8 year old stepson that has intellectual disabilities that I take care part-time and I've been involve with his ABA therapy and learned how to handle kids with autism.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have done volunteer work in a children's recovery unit, and deal with kids that has down syndrome, Tube-fed baby and kids that has behavior issue and cronic conditions.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like watching educational show, reading books and playing puzzles with kids, I also love walking around with them and visit the playground.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I'm attending their needs not only the basic but specifically their emotional needs and making them feel safe, one thing I realized with kids they are Tiny person that has BIG and too much emotions that they don't know how to express and how to handle, and being there for them when they're learning new things about themselves is very special for me.

My experience with special needs children...

My stepson has rubinstein-taybi syndrome I've been taking care of him since I moved here in the US 3 years ago but he stays most of the time with his mom since they moved in Chowchilla recently and now we only have him in holidays and the whole summer. He has ABA therapy and I learned a lot from it on how to handle him specially when he's having a meltdown and he doesn't know how to express himself.

I also volunteered in a facility with kids that has special needs such as mute, blind and kids that has intellectual disabilities.
