The most important part about being a nanny...
Hands down the most important part of taking care of any child is their safety. Yes, having fun and learning are also important, but safety is always going to come in number 1 for me.
My experience with special needs children...
I enjoy the innocence of children with special needs. I see them more as a person than their disability. I love having adventures. I have done volunteer work for justserve.org and did some respite care. I always try my best to understand their frustrations and points of view.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny/babysitter moments are anytime the child and I create something. It could be a Lego building to an inside joke. Watching a child be proud of themselves is priceless.
