Sometimes, she’d let me help with small lessons, like reading stories or playing math games. I remember one day, we made learning shapes into a game where the kids pretended to be detectives finding ‘hidden’ triangles and squares around the classroom. It felt amazing to see them so excited about learning and knowing I was a part of it. Those moments made me appreciate teaching and how much fun it can be to inspire kids.
