hi my name is Jocelyn, I’m 20 years old and I’m currently a college student and a mother . I was certified by the state as a security officer. I’m just a kind, sweet, responsible woman that lives in the east side of Los Angeles my favorite hobby is teaching my 1 year old daughter new things from reading to counting . On my free time I have various things I love doing,Going to bookstores and find new books to read to my daughter .I also love exploring new places from hikes to splashing waves of the ocean. I’ve done some volunteering experiment on children for about a year and a half. I manage to collect data on children K-5 grade. It was a great experience I learned things about different age groups and how there’s different strategy to manage a child’s need. I have a child of my own whom I’m very interacted with before and after work.

A activity I enjoy doing with children that could be either indoor or outdoor is canvas painting letting them express themselves with Art. It’s a great activity because usually parents or the children decide they want to hang it on the wall as an accomplishment. Another activity my little one and I enjoy is reading books and dancing along to music

The most important part about being a nanny to me if making sure the child is feeling safe and comfortable around me and other. Also trying to meet all their needs at all times. Now that I relate as a mother more I know how important it is to meet a child’s needs at all times

The most important part about being a nanny...

A memorable moment I had was with a pair of siblings they decided they wanted to paint and said yes of course let’s go outside. As they were starting their paintings I curious asked the little boy(6years old) what are you painting and he responded we love you for being nice to us and making great snacks and I want to paint you with the whole family. At that moment I wanted to cry it felt so nice feeling loved by a person that’s not part of your family but you definitely felt like family to them.
