I’ve worked at an all girls sleep away camp for 11 years each summer. I was also involved in PALS during high school where we worked with difficult kids at the younger schools.

My nephew is autistic so I would consider myself pretty comfortable with that. Anything else, I don’t have much experience with but I’m willing to learn!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One summer, working at camp, a little girl was very homesick and would wake me up every night. Nothing was really wrong, she just missed her parents. I would take her back to her bunk and sit on the floor holding her hand until she went back to sleep. This is my favorite moment because I feel like I must of made a pretty big impact on her for her to feel the comfort of her parents while I was holding her hand.
