The most important part about being a nanny...

A nanny isn’t just someone who watches a child, you’re a consistent presence in their daily life. Kids pick up on energy, patience, and emotional safety more than anything. When they feel secure with you, they learn better, behave better, and grow with confidence. Everything else matters of course. Routines, teaching, fun activities, healthy meals but none of that works unless the child feels safe, supported, and connected to you.

My experience with special needs children...

I also have experience working with children with special needs from my time as an assistant teacher. That role gave me valuable hands-on experience supporting different learning styles, behaviors, and individualized needs with patience and care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was with a baby girl who was just starting to try new foods. I made her a little mashed sweet potato, and the way her whole face lit up after that first taste was adorable. She got so excited she kicked her feet and reached for the spoon. It was such a cute moment and made me happy to share something homemade that she really enjoyed.
