I have previously worked in a dentist office where kids were seen. I was trusted to make conversation/ engage with the child to make them feel more comfortable.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love play time and dancing to worship music and many other songs. I tend to try to keep them involved with activities the parents love and the child does too! My favorite activity has to be outside. I love to be outside and in nature, rather than being inside.
My experience with special needs children...
I was apart of a program called " partners P.E". This program allowed special needs kids learn the fun of exercise. I enjoyed every bit of this program and being able to give them this light upon their faces. My favorite partner would always talk about his love for trains. As we ran around I let him know we were the train heading for the train station. It is an experience I won't ever forget and I don't believe the kids will either!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment has to be watching their face light up when they see me. It is very heart warming to know that you are impacting the childs life in an awesome way!
