I love creating hands on activities based on each childs interests developmental milestones and energy level Some of my favorites include sensory bins process art simple science experiments outdoor exploration obstacle courses music and movement pretend play and Montessori inspired practical life activities I also enjoy incorporating early language colors patterns counting fine motor skills and emotional regulation into play without making learning feel forced I especially love adapting activities as children become curious and take them in their own creative direction

The most important part of being a nanny to me is creating a safe and trusting relationship where a child feels understood supported and free to be themselves I want children to know they can depend on me while I help them build confidence independence and emotional security Being a nanny also means partnering closely with parents so the child receives consistent thoughtful care from someone who is genuinely invested in their development and happiness
My experience with special needs children...
My special needs experience includes both personal and professional caregiving. I have supported a 14-year-old with cardiac and developmental conditions who required assistance closer to that of a younger child, as well as children in foster care who were fostered by my family and experienced PTSD, autism, significant behavioral and mental health needs, and previous psychiatric hospitalization.
Professionally, I worked with a family whose 15-year-old son was minimally verbal and required substantial daily support. I transported him to school and weekly therapy appointments, assisted with routines, and helped maintain the household. I also have experience supporting children with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, and speech delays. I approach each child as an individual and prioritize patience, predictability, safety, respectful communication, and collaboration with their family and care team.

One of my favorite nanny moments happened during a car painting activity I created We started by driving toy cars through purple pink and green paint and after the first round the child independently remembered the color pattern and where each color belonged Watching her make that connection and feel so proud of herself reminded me why I love being a nanny The activities may look like simple play but getting to witness those little moments of learning confidence and discovery is incredibly meaningful to me
