I think it’s also important to support families by communicating openly and working together to meet each child’s unique needs.

One of my favorite moments was seeing a shy student I worked with at the after-school program slowly open up over time. By spending extra time with them through art projects and small games, they grew more confident and started engaging with others. Watching their growth reminded me how meaningful it is to help kids feel safe, supported, and proud of themselves.
