A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Juana and I am currently a rising junior undergraduate student studying Environmental Biology and Global Health over at DePauw University. I am currently on the pre-dentistry track to become a general dentist someday. I have three years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant working with both adults and children. I am CPR certified and although I do not have direct prior experience to babysitting, I am excited to begin this new chapter. In my free time I love to be outside, listen to music, watch TV, and color! I am currently home for the summer and am in need of a summer job to gather money for my Ecuador and Galapagos study abroad program for this upcoming winter term. At DePauw, I have served as a mentor for three years now for our university chapter of College Mentor For Kids. Each week, I volunteer for one hour completing activities with our buddies from local Greencastle elementary schools. My favorite moment was when my little buddy and I won first place in our campus scavenger hunt during Monon Bell Week! My favorite activity was discovering all of the reptiles, fishes, and amphibians in the Biology building all while teaching our buddies about animal diversity!

I love to do indoor activities such as board games, coloring books, watching TV, and much more! I am also open to playing outside, going on walks, and being outside in general!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I feel like the most important part about being a nanny is always being present. Kids have a very strong imagination and are very curious. It is important to have someone watching over them in order to assist them in navigating their curiosity and exploring their imagination!
