The most important part about being a nanny...
One time the kiddo I was nannying for shook up and exploded a soda his mom gave him in my car. Instead of getting upset, I asked him to help clean it up with me and we turned it into a fun activity with soap and suds. Also a good learning moment!
2nd favorite moment was working with a child who had difficulty with emotional regulation. My social work skills came in handy and she eventually learned some great coping skills to manage frustration. Seeing her use them first hand was very rewarding and satisfying!
