As a teenager years ago I volunteered for the church once or twice a week for the service day care and during my high school and college years I volunteered for shelters down in Mexico mostly border towns close to Yuma, AZ where I'm originally from.

Love a good workout! Running and playing sports is the best way to drain some of their energy. Kids always have full battery! Love baking and if possible watching a movie is always a good option to end the day!

Taking care of children is just as important as caring for your own kids. As a mother I am willing to do whatever it takes to provide a safe environment for my children and the kids I provide care for.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children is very personal. My youngest brother was born with down syndrome when I was only 12 years. I took care of him for the most part and accompanied him to a special needs school for a period of 4 years.
