I have babysat all my life and during college I stayed with a family of 3 for two consecutive years and built strong relationships both the children and the parents (and grandparents and cousins). I also was an intern at a Childrens Center in Detroit where I worked with high needs kids. I have also worked as a tutor and in a middle school classroom.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy being outside as much as possible, whether that is in the yard, park, zoo, or at the lake. And I never forget sunscreen:)

I think the most about important part about being attentive and knowing how to listen. I think the most humane thing anyone can do is listen to others, and that includes children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was about a year after I started working with my long term family. We would take walks almost everyday and whenever I saw a flower I would pick it and give it to the 4 y/o boy and say, "give this to your mom". One day we were having a play date with his cousin and we went for a walk and he picked a flower, handed it to his cousin, and said "give this to your mom" and I was close to tears.
