I have looked after my older sister's children since the age of 12. I babysat throughout high school for family and family friends/acquaintances. I also volunteered at a local daycare in my hometown during high school.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I really enjoy water during a hot day so I like playing water games. I used to love riding my bike as a kid so I enjoy letting the kids out to ride. When it comes to indoor activities, I enjoy reading to the kids (if they enjoy books), helping with homework, and just about anything artsy and crafty.

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is paying attention to the wants and needs of each specific kid. Every kid is different and what works for one kid may not work for another. So I think it's important to do what is best for each specific kid.

One of my favorite many moments was when a little girl I was nannying took 4 big steps towards me. Her mom had told me that her daughter was trying to walk but had only managed to take about two wobbly steps then fall. Seeing her take 4 pretty confidently was so adorable.
