A little bit about me

I'd describe my personality as hardworking, caring, and attention oriented. In my spare time, I love to cook, spend time with my pets, crochet, and read.

I love working with children because it's a true honor to help them learn and understand the world; to watch them grow into smart, strong people, and help them with all of life's challenges.

I started working with children in 2019 at a daycare, then at a K-12th grade school. Then, three years ago I moved to Maine and started working for a mental health company that specializes in helping children through some of the worst things imaginable. No matter what it is, I've seen it and helped kids through it, while still helping them with their daily needs and responsibilities.

I'm looking for a reoccurring placement with 3-10 hours per week, focusing on child care, tutoring, cooking/meal prep, errand running, cleaning, pet care, and so on.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked in a Daycare and K-12 school prior to moving to Maine, here in Maine I worked for a children’s mental health facility. I’ve also been self employed doing in home care for children and adults for the last while.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Hiking, going to the park, going to museums and other cultural or art places, doing science experiments, cooking, helping them learn to enjoy housework and cleaning, and homework

My experience with special needs children...

I worked for a mental health company focusing on helping children through terrible situations like trauma and sudden illnesses, we also worked with many children born with neurological or mental disorders like Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, and so on.

I also have three associates degrees in psychology, sociology, and education. I’m also currently attending UMO with a focus on children’s abnormal psychology and neurological disorders.
