I have worked as a Reggio Emilia teacher, Montessori and project approach style teaching. I studied ECE and I like to think I pick my favorites from all of those styles and put my own twist with it. I am familiar with just about every parenting style out there and if I’m not familiar with it I love to learn which style best suits each family!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I have always been interested in the arts including musical theater, drama, painting, writing and many more. This shows in my work. I am an extremely creative person and can create songs about anything and everything off the top of my head which comes in handy when working with infants and toddlers.
My experience with special needs children...
I have immediate family who have disabilities. As well as a brother who is a disabled veteran. I think this gives me a truly personal understanding of the care to be given to children who have special needs. I am extremely patient, nurturing and with those personal connections I have it helps me when caring for children.
