More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a volunteer daycare teacher for almost a decade. I constantly whip up games to help children open up and feel a sense of confidence in their unique personalities. I make sure to adjust activities to the capabilities of children's age groups. After playing games, I would clean the surrounding environment and cook for the kids.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts, playing soccer, reading stories, inventing games, playing Just Dance on the Wii,
and cooking kid-friendly recipes together!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Patience, patience, and more patience. While it's important as a nanny to set expectations, I understand that every child is different and has their own pace. They make messes and mistakes, but how I react to them influences how they will act in the future.

My experience with special needs children...

Although I haven't had frequent experience with special needs children, my best friend since childhood has Level 3 autism and needs a lot of support in her day-to-day life. Because I grew up with her, I am highly familiar with the importance of compensating for the difference in communication, being patient, and creating a safe space for individuals with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Before the pandemic, I would throw celebrations for kids in the daycare if they earned enough points through exhibiting good behavior. During one of the celebrations, I made hamburgers for everyone, and I bought a projector so that we could play a movie since our classroom didn't have a television. We laughed and talked and relaxed as a big group, and it was the highlight of everyone's weekend!
