I love outdoor activities! The park is one of my favorite because it allows me to get some sun time in and the children can get their energy out on the equipment!
My experience with special needs children...
During high school, I took ASL for 2 years (freshman to sophomore year) and was a student aide servicing the special needs classroom (junior to senior year). I had the great opportunity to spend 2 hours a day with these children and communicate with them using ASL if they were nonverbal. I also shadow interpreted a play in ASL and went to the Florida Thespian State competition; taking home the highest award with my fellow classmates at Fort Myers High School.
