A little bit about me

I love to do arts and crafts, read, be active and outdoors, and animals! I am currently in college pursuing a degree in English Literature with hopes to get my Masters in Librarian Sciences so I can open my own library that would cater to reading engagement and have a "kid-zone" where parents and kids can come in to read, play, learn, and do crafts! I do work part time on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and the 3rd Saturday of the month. I am also currently in school and have a class zoom on Tuesdays from 1-2, but I am willing to work around those few hours those days to meet your family's needs!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked a before and after school program for ages 5-12, have done help in child care centers ages 1-4, and have done lots of in home babysitting! I have experience working with children who have down syndrome, autism, ADHD, and many different home backgrounds.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to play board games and card games, and do arts and crafts like painting, perler beads, making bracelets, and coloring. I love to play active games like basketball, catch, tag, jump rope, etc. I love to go on walks, go to parks or other fun places, build legos and magentiles, and even help with homework!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being able to be someone that the kids not only have fun with, but being someone they trust and can confide in. Being someone they can play games with but also someone they can ask questions and go to when they get hurt. Being someone who allows them to be themselves and never judges them.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with kids with down syndrome, autism, and ADHD. I have worked with kids with many different IEP's, including behavioral, and I have taken special education classes as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Me and a child doing a science experiment where we had no idea what we were doing and we just knew what the outcome was supposed to be. We tried so many things and went through so many supplies, but the joy on his face when we finally figured it out was definitely one of my favorite moments. Or having dance parties with a child with down syndrome to farmer parodies and cranking it so loud and just dancing without a care in the world.
