More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked with children on the spectrum as an ABA Behavioral Interventionist and am currently a Behavior Therapist. I also worked as a paraprofessional to a special needs preschool class. Working with neurotypical kids, I was a scorekeeper, referee, and supervised children while playing sports. I worked at two different after school programs. I worked at a couple public preschools within the same company, working in multiple different classrooms with all ages infant-elementary. Lastly, I was also a toddler teacher at a private preschool.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts, dance parties, bubbles, chalk, board/card games, tag, hide and seek, puzzles, and any other fun things they like to do!

My experience with special needs children...

I have a sibling with special needs whom I grew up with and learned how to help with. When I worked in ABA I worked with children on the spectrum and children with disabilities. I worked with the families to create a schedule and created goals for each individual child/adult to work on together. On the breaks between goals we would do a preferred activity. I was also a Paraprofessional in a special needs preschool classroom in which I helped support the main teacher by changing diapers, working with the children when they needed support, maintaining the classroom, setting up for the day, closing down the classroom, and prepping for the next day.
