Hi! My name is Kaiya. I’m a 22 year old mom of a 2 year old. I love being home with my daughter all day and would love to go back to work nannying while being able to watch my daughter and others at the same time. I’m very patient and considerate, i’m dependable and have loved working with children the last few years. I am working on getting my bachelors in biology and want to be a labor and delivery nurse once I finish school. I grew up in a huge family and have always loved being surrounded by kids and am really good at connecting with families of all shapes and sizes.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’m a mother of a 2 year old girl, I have babysat and been a nanny since I was 12. I’ve cared for children of all ages ranging newborn to 15 years old. I have a lot of experience with homeschool, car pools, house keeping, laundry, meal prep and pets. I’ve also cared for children in a large capacity volunteering at a church daycare and large family gatherings. I grew up in a family of 8 so i’ve always been around children and been there to babysit them and have grown to love it.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love nature walks and going to the park and playing with toys. I’ve really enjoyed helping with independent play, homeschooling, reading, cooking and learning musical instruments. I am also super crafty, so I love bringing supplies for art projects and sentimental crafts. And of course down time is always great as well, me reading to them or us all watching a movie.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is sticking to what the parents set as guidelines and being patient with everyone. I have heard many stories about horrible experiences with nanny’s or vice versa. It’s always going to be a transition hiring a nanny, but I believe my role is to help make it all easier and more manageable for a family.

My experience with special needs children...

I have had experience with children diagnosed with autism and down syndrome, as well as some other special needs. I am very comfortable and confident in my abilities to cater to children with special needs. I think that it really depends on the person but I have had great experiences working with families with children who have special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was running into one of the four year old girls I nannied and she ran up to me and said hi and gave me a hug and was excited for the next time I came over.
