More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes my work as a CNA providing in-home care, where I supported families by assisting with daily routines, ensuring safety, and offering attentive, compassionate care. In Summer 2026, I also gained teaching experience as an Academic Coach, where I worked directly with high school students by providing academic support, facilitating learning, mentoring students, and helping create a positive, engaging classroom environment. Additionally, I have years of babysitting experience and hands-on childcare from helping raise my younger siblings, which has strengthened my ability to manage children of different ages in both structured and fast-paced environments.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping children active, engaged, and creative! I enjoy outdoor play, playground trips, arts and crafts, reading, music and dancing, yoga, sports, educational games, and hands-on activities. I also love creating fun themed activities and age-appropriate “lesson plans” that make learning feel exciting. I’m naturally very active myself, so I enjoy encouraging children to move, explore, and have fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is building trust with both the child and their family. A child should feel safe, loved, heard, and comfortable around their nanny, while parents should feel confident knowing their child is in dependable and caring hands. I believe being patient, attentive, consistent, and genuinely present is what makes a nanny truly impactful.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children is extensive through my work as a CNA in hospital settings, as well as in-home healthcare, where I’ve supported children with autism and cared for paralyzed individuals. These experiences have taught me how to be patient, attentive, and adaptable while providing safe, respectful, and consistent care tailored to each person’s needs.

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in Atlanta, GA: Kennedy J.
Hi, my name is Kennedy and I’m 20 years old. I love working out, eating lots of fruit, my favorite color is brown and I love to sing Disney music. I’ve worked with children for over two years, in aftercare, as a teacher’s assistant, and with siblings and family. What I enjoy most about working with kids is that they’re far from the “ignorant” reputation people give them. They’re smart, curious, and require you to see the world through an optimistic, light-filled lens that adulthood doesn’t always allow. I appreciate everything I gain from working with kids just as much as what I’m able to give them.

Hi families! My name is Makya, and I bring over 5 years of hands-on childcare experience, caring for infants through school-age children. I’m passionate about creating fun, safe, and screen-free environments where children can learn, grow, and feel supported—or using screen time intentionally if that’s what your family prefers.
