A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Kaleia and I am currently a third year college student pursuing a degree in Exercise Physiology and athletic training at Arizona Christian University. I also am playing Beach volleyball for the school and currently working ant Dutch Bros and would love to work with someone who is willing to work with my flexible schedule! I grew up taking care of kids, all my cousins are younger than me and I have worked in my Church’s nurseries and kid areas. I have a genuine passion for working with kids. I find joy in their curious minds, boundless energy, and unique personalities. Being able to contribute positively to their growth and development is incredibly rewarding for me. I spent my first two years of college babysitting for the schools Athletic Trainer, the baby was newborn-2 years old. I have experience with all ages and would love the opportunity to help take care of kids again!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve coached kids ages kindergarten through highschool in basketball and volleyball. I have also worked in my Church’s nursery and youth area for a long time. I have babysat my cousins since I was old enough to look after them. I’ve watched kids for over 10 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love painting and other arts and crafts. I also love sports and would love to teach kids how to play. I love watching movies, especially Disney movies. Exploring outside is really fun to me and love to play along with kids imaginations.

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, positive environment where kids feel comfortable being themselves. I care about building trust with both the child and parents while helping kids learn, grow, and enjoy their time.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked as a dental/oral surgeon assistant for Special needs kids and adults for a year and a half in Colorado before I moved here to Arizona. I also have a cousin who has autism and babysat him from newborn to 4 years old when I moved away.
