The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny is more than a Job. You are personally responsible for the wellbeing and teaching of young minds. Respect, trust and patience is critical. It is vital to establish a safe environment in which the kids feel that they can learn and have fun while growing up. The kids don't see you as an employee but a family member or best friend and that is why it is important to become that respected and trusted individual.

My experience with special needs children...

I tutored special needs children at Lone Peak High School for a year.
Tutored special needs children at a special needs school in Korea. We took them out to play sports and worked on many other projects with them.
My brother is special needs and I know how to be patient and speak so we both understand one another.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When one girl I was taking care of picked up a spider and put it in her mouth. I had to pull that spider out before she got bit. I learned that my fears did not stop me from doing my job and keeping her safe.
