A little bit about me

Hi! I’m a friendly, caring, and dependable person with experience in both healthcare and nannying/babysitting. I’ve cared for children ranging from 10 months to 9 years old and have spent the past couple of summers nannying and babysitting. I’ve always loved working with kids, building relationships with them, and becoming someone families can count on. I enjoy keeping kids engaged with age-appropriate activities, helping with meal prep, snacks, daily routines, and making sure they have a fun and positive day. I have a healthcare background and am a Certified Cardiac Monitor Technician, as well as BLS and First Aid/CPR certified. I have my own reliable car, a valid driver’s license, and I’m a non-smoker. I’m available full-time Monday–Friday and would love the opportunity to become a trusted part of your family!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked as a nanny and babysitter for children ranging from about 10 months to 9 years old. I’ve cared for children over the summers and have experience with full-day care, meals, activities, keeping routines, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. My healthcare background has also helped me become very attentive, patient, and prepared when caring for children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping kids active and engaged with age-appropriate activities! I enjoy going outside, playing at parks, doing arts and crafts, reading, baking or helping with simple meals, playing games, and coming up with fun activities that keep them learning while still having fun. I also love letting kids use their imagination and following their interests.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part is making sure the child feels safe, loved, comfortable, and understood while also respecting the parents’ routines and expectations. I think a great nanny should be dependable, patient, communicative, and genuinely enjoy being around children. My goal is always for parents to feel confident knowing their child is in good hands.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for a 5-year-old child on the autism spectrum, where I learned the importance of patience, consistency, understanding individual needs, and following their routines. I have also cared for a 3-year-old with hypoglycemia. As someone who has lived with Type 1 diabetes myself, I have a personal understanding of blood sugar management and the importance of recognizing when a child may need extra attention and care. These experiences have made me especially attentive, calm, and comfortable adapting my care to each child’s individual needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts of nannying is watching a child become comfortable with me and seeing their personality come out. I especially love those little moments when a child gets excited to see you, wants to show you something they learned, or you can tell they genuinely enjoyed a day you planned for them. Those moments make the job really rewarding.

Christina H. - Seeking Work in Raleigh

Part-Time Nanny Available in Raleigh, NC: Christina H.

Hello there, my name is Christina, and I've been working as a nanny for the last two years. Outside of my professional experience watching children, I am an aunt to a whopping ten nieces and nephews, with whom I have looked after for the better part of my twenty-eight years of my life.

I absolutely love children and would consider myself a natural when it comes to looking after them. My main hobbies include reading and writing, and as I finish pursuing a degree in English Literature, I would love to spend my working hours improving literacy in children and helping them achieve their academic goals. My love of reading is something I would adore the chance to share!

I am very friendly, approachable, respectful, and diligent. I'm fastidious about my work, whatever it may entail, and will always put 100% effort into everything I do. I would consider it an honor to be chosen to be the nanny for a family that feels I meet (and hopefully soar above!) their requirements.

Amya M. - Seeking Work in Raleigh

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Raleigh, NC: Amya M.

My name is Amya! I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2025 with a B.S. in Psychology. Ever since I can remember, I have had a passion for taking care of children. I spent a large portion of my 4 years in college focusing on child development, behavioral health, and educational psychology. My passion in each of these subjects lead me to 3 years of teaching preschoolers and toddlers in Boone, NC. After graduation, my focus toward behavioral health and education lead me to my work as a registered behavior technician, where I worked directly with children with Autism to promote emotional wellbeing, functional communication, and appropriate replacements for maladaptive behaviors, all through play therapy! This fall, I will be looking at online programs for a Masters in School Psychology, and would love to hone my focus in child development and education to a family needing help!
