In the past I have cared for children while attending camp as a counselor, during my times at church as a youth peer, and during my times as a college camp counselor. I have experienced many different experiences with children where they have a disabilities, past traumatic experiences or unavailable parental guidance. During these times I have also experienced the difficulties teachers and caregivers face when often performing which has taught me patience and compassion when it comes to handling children from different backgrounds.
