A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Kara. I'm an 18 year old girl who has been babysitting since I was old enough to be responsible for a younger child and nannying since I could drive. I love being around kids and am great with them. I have a huge family with lots of young children, so even when I didn't/don't have a nannying job, I often find myself entertaining and hanging around kids which is awesome! I can help around the house with lots of things and am a quick learner, so if there's anything you need help with that I'm not sure how to do, I'll pick it up. I am very independent and self-motivated! I’m not currently CPR certified, but I am totally willing to take the necessary classes if that’s something that would make your family more comfortable!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a nanny for a few different families since 2019. I have also volunteered in a kindergarten classroom for a semester helping the children and assisting the teacher in classroom activities. Throughout the years, I have also taken many babysitting jobs here and there!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to play games, whether it’s board games or a game they make up. I absolutely love being outside, so I will swim, go on walks, play sports, or really do whatever the child has in mind. Arts and crafts are also a super fun activity that gets creative juices flowing. (: Although children don’t always enjoy schoolwork, I love to help them fully grasp and understand whatever it is that they are learning in school by helping with homework, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is building a strong relationship with the children. A bond based on trust and mutual respect is so important, regardless of the age of the child!

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have a ton of experience with special needs children, but I would love to learn the proper and best ways to care for a special needs child.
