More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience caring for children in various settings. At a spa’s summer camp, I helped take care of about 30 children alongside two coworkers. We organized fun activities, went on hikes, played games, swam, and prepared fun snacks for the kids. I also have one-on-one experience babysitting a eight-year-old girl, where I made her home cooked meals, played with her animals and Barbie’s, enjoyed games she liked. We had movie nights, and even did karaoke , we had study sessions helping her with her schooling and homework. I understand the importance of both education and respecting parents preferences, ensuring that I follow their guidance to create a safe and enjoyable environment for the children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
As a nanny, I love spending time outdoors with the children, I love going on hikes where we can explore nature together. Outdoor activities are a big part of my approach, whether it’s playing games in the park or going for walks, allowing the kids to stay active and connected to the world around them. I always enjoy winding down with art projects, giving them a chance to be creative while having fun. Teaching them about kindness and the importance of treating others with respect is something I focus on, helping them grow emotionally and socially. I make sure they’re learning new things, whether it’s related to school or life skills, and I encourage them to dive into their own hobbies and passions. Balancing education, exercise, and creativity ensures they not only have fun but also develop a love for learning and trying new experiences.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is ensuring the children’s safety and well-being. This includes providing a nurturing environment where the kids feel safe, Supported, And cared for. Other key aspects are effective Communication with the parents, Understanding and meeting the children’s Developmental needs, And maintaining Consistency in rules and routines. Trust and patience are also crucial, as they help build a strong bond With the children and ensure A positive caregiving experience.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had the privilege of Working closely with Special needs children, Both as a friend and in caring for them. Throughout my school years, I’ve supported many in challenging situations, Helping to calm them down and guiding them through their classes When they needed extra help. I’ve also had experience taking care of a boy named Mathias, Who is on the spectrum And I was able to learn more about how to cater To his specific needs. Though I’ve never Formally babysat a Special needs child, I’ve had many opportunities To befriend and support them in various ways. My time with them has taught me patience, understanding, and compassion.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite things about babysitting Isn’t a single moment but a series of small, meaningful experiences. Each child I’ve looked after has their own unique personality, and I love getting to know them and make new friends along the way. Watching them grow and helping them navigate the challenges they face is incredibly rewarding. I’ve had my share of hilarious and tough moments, but I always remind myself that they’re just little humans trying to figure out life. Supporting them in their growth and watching them become accomplished young women and men is the most fulfilling part of babysitting. I’ll never forget any of them, and I cherish every step of there journey.
