Some activities I enjoy as a nanny include; trips to the zoo, or Children's museum, playing at the park, participating in play dates, trips to the local library, and incorporating cooking, music, art, and movement (dance, yoga, etc.) into weekly activities.

My absolute favorite part about being a nanny is the ability to be an integral part of a child's development. There's nothing more rewarding than watching a child flourish while in my care. The fact that I am with the child for a significant amount of the day makes me realize I largely influence and can impact their lives. It is an awesome responsibility, but also an honor and privilege.

As a grandparent of a child diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, I feel it is crucial for a caretaker to be sensitive and mindful of the unique challenges a child with special needs faces. I will assist parents in preparing their child for a world that may not always understand so they are able to achieve fulfillment.
