A little bit about me

Hi!
I am a retired youth minister and teacher with 6 children (last three adopted) and 10 grandchildren, ranging in age from 4 months -12 years, with another on the way! I have been married for 43 years and reside in Florence, Ky. My entire life has revolved around caring for, guiding and loving infants, children and teens. My husband and I fostered infants and toddlers for 7 years and were nominated for the Bluegrass Region Foster Patents of the Year.

I also watched children at my home between teaching assignments. The last five years, I have been a nanny for several different families which included infants, toddlers and sibling groups. I am CRP and First Aid certified.

I am available Mondays, Tuesdays and either Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. I can provide references to set your minds at ease. I look forward to meeting your family and discussing care for your little one.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I taught elementary and preschool children for 27 years, both in public and private schools. I have a masters degree in education and special education. I have cared for my own grandchildren and my husband and I fostered children for 7 years. In between teaching assignments, I watched children in my home.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Singing, dancing, crafts, games, interactive play, taking walks, going to parks, museums, swimming and playing outside with them.

Is loving and caring for a child just like their parents would and making their child feel secure and happy.

I have a masters in special education and taught special needs children for 6 years.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Every moment is special but I guess one of my favorite moments was when the 2 year old, that I was nannying, didn’t want me to to leave and told her mom that she loved me!
