A little bit about me

After raising my child and now being single, I really miss the joy of being around children. There's nothing quite like watching a child discover something new and explore the world with wonder. I love diamond painting, hiking, doing goofy dances, playing games, and have a strong passion for music and art. We're in the digital age, offering endless new learning opportunities and incredible tools at our fingertips! It’s rewarding to help a child discover their talents and skills and watch them grow and thrive. Every child is one-of-a-kind and special; my ultimate aim is to help them feel confident in themselves and become the best version of who they can be. There's only one of them, and recognizing how amazing that is, is so important!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked in a daycare for about a year. My mom had a daycare for a few years when I was growing up. Plus I have raised my daughter and babysat my whole life. Kids give me the ability to relax and just enjoy some fun silly time

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Silly walks, silly dances. Reading. Writing. Homework. Talking to them, listening and really letting them feel heard and seen!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Creating an environment where a child feels comfortable and confident to talk about anything—be it a story, adventure, dream, or even a secret—is one of the most rewarding experiences. Children who know me understand two key things: if they talk to me, I will decide whether it's something that needs to be shared with their parents, and if they need to speak to me in confidence, I can do that too. However, I always encourage them to have the same conversation with their parents and offer to join them for additional support and encouragement. It's incredibly special when a child knows they are safe and protected with you. Watching them open up, share their vulnerabilities, and express every detail of the world they're discovering around them—along with enjoying silly jokes, pranks, games, and plenty of laughter—truly feels like heaven on earth!

My experience with special needs children...

Although I haven't worked directly with special needs children, I firmly believe that every child is unique and special. The key is helping each child become the best version of themselves. Each person is uniquely crafted with their own set of talents and abilities! My goal is to assist each child in embracing who they are and developing into the best version of the unique individual they were born to be.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One morning, after getting the older kids settled with their homeschool assignments, I checked on the youngest. Being a growing boy, he was hungry, so I decided to do something hilariously unconventional: make a batch of popcorn pancakes! We had some kernel popcorn on hand, so I added them to the pan along with the pancake batter. The youngest sat on the counter, safely distanced to avoid any hot splatters. Every time a kernel popped, pancake batter would explode, and he found it absolutely hilarious. The rest of the kids, curious about the fun, quickly joined us. Popcorn pancakes became a legendary tale in Washington state, and I assure you, they can indeed be made! Your kids will love them, especially with all the laughter they bring!
