More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I been working at urban air the past year and a half, where I currently work as a Party Host and Attraction Moderator. In this role, I supervise children, lead activities, ensure their safety, and help create a fun and positive environment.
For the past three summers, I have also worked and volunteered at Barefoot Republic Camp. I served as a camp counselor, working closely with children during daily activities, and I also worked as a buddy to children with autism. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication, patience, responsibility, and childcare skills while learning how to work with children of different ages and abilities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Even though I’m about to be 19, I still feel young at heart 😂. I still enjoy a lot of the same things I loved when I was 10, which I think helps me connect with kids naturally. I love playing Roblox, watching cartoons, doodling, playing hide-and-seek, playing pretend, and just being creative and having fun. I’m not afraid to get on the floor and actually play with the kids instead of just watching them. I think children can tell when someone genuinely enjoys spending time with them, and that’s something I really value and genuinely look forward to
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being involved, alert, and present is so important. Most kids don’t ask for much, just for your time and to feel seen, heard, and understood. Communication, patience, and understanding are also super important when caring for children.
Beyond the kids, I also believe getting along well with the whole family is just as important as building a good relationship with the children. Creating a comfortable and trusting relationship with the parents and family makes the overall experience better for everyone.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with special needs through my time at camp, where I spent several weeks as a buddy to a few children with special needs. I took the time to learn their individual likes and dislikes, understand what could trigger or overwhelm them, and pay attention to their needs so I could provide the proper care, support, and supervision. This experience taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and getting to know each child as an individual.
I also had a close friendship with a special needs student while I was in school. I really enjoyed our friendship because he was funny, outgoing, and always brought a positive energy into my life. He helped me come out of my shell and actually look forward to going to school. That friendship gave me an even greater appreciation for how meaningful it can be to simply be patient, accepting, and present for someone.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I haven’t officially been a nanny, but I do babysit from time to time. One of my favorite moments is arriving and seeing the kids get excited to see me or even remember my name. I know it may seem like a small thing, but it means a lot to me. I love feeling accepted, welcomed, and genuinely wanted, and I think that’s something I want the kids to feel when they’re around me too.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Nolensville, TN: Amanda H.
Hi! My name is Amanda, and I’m 27 years old. I’ve been working with children since my teenage years! I began by babysitting for family friends and have continued to grow my experience from there.
Over the years, I’ve worked in school summer camps, church ministry programs, and studied child development in community college. I spent three years at a private Christian preschool, where I advanced from a teacher’s assistant to a lead teacher role.
In addition, I’ve nannied for multiple families and have experience as a family assistant, helping manage various household responsibilities. I’m comfortable caring for children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers.
I am currently seeking part-time work, as I recently became a mom to a daughter. She will be cared for by family members while I’m working, though I would also be open to the right opportunity where bringing her along is a good fit. I have reliable childcare options in place and can be flexible depending on the family’s needs.
