Hi! My name is Karlie Cruz! I am 19 years old, almost 20! I honestly spend most of my free time with children! Whether it be at work or babysitting or with my family haha! I am overall a very loving and caring individual. The best word to describe me is incredibly patient and hardworking! As for my drivers license and a car, I get my license on February 28th. 1 month! I know it is a little late for me to be getting my license! I promise I am an amazing and safe driver! I was SO nervous about driving in high school and one of my friends passed away in a car accident which made it even more scary for me but I overcame my fear and I pushed for it to happen! When I get my license, I will be getting a car that week! If I am hired before that, I will have a ride to and from your house at whatever time you need! I promise I will not let you down! This is an amazing opportunity for me and nannying is my absolute dream!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been an aunt since I was 6 years old and my family is still growing! I am an aunt of 8 and one on the way!! In high school I worked at a camp as a lifeguard teaching swim lessons and a few summers I was a counselor! I also have worked as an assistant teacher at two day cares! Ranging from infants to kindergartner's! I have pretty much worked with all ages! I am also enrolled in college, majoring in early education! I want to be a teacher! But don't worry about my school schedule I am taking a break as of right now and am focused on working so when I am ready to go back I have the money to afford it!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts amongst many other activities! Some of my favorites are music activities, incorporating learning into games that are fun of course and also I love playing outside! I am truly a child at heart when it comes to children!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making a difference in the families life and becoming part of the family! Being there for the good and bad days and making sure that even on the bad days your child goes to sleep with the biggest smile on their face no-one can ever take away from them! I can't wait to watch your children reach so many of the milestones and grow over the time I am with you guys!

My experience with special needs children...

I have babysat for a special needs family before when I was a sophomore in high school! I also volunteered at an event at my camp called "Swim with Friends" or "Sports with Friends" where you are assigned a special needs child and you spend a few hours with them one on one and make sure they have as much fun as possible! I also would like to continuity education and major in special education. I try have a soft spot for special needs children! Onto of that when I worked with one of the daycares we had a few special needs children whom I shadowed throughout the day and made sure they were comfortable at the school and I played with them one on one and did things such as art crafts, puzzles and ect. One of my favorite things about special needs children is how smart and loving they are once you get to know them!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Although I have never nannied, I have babysat a lot over the years! One of my favorite memories is when one of the families I babysat for asked me to come on short notice to help out mom while she has some work to do and errands to run, I ran to five below and bought the two girls who I adore 2 huge canvas' and paint sets with brushes and we sat there in the living room with a newspaper covered floor and we made these beautiful self portraits of the girls themselves and they asked me to also paint with them! When mom came home the little girl who was in first grade was SO proud of herself she ran up to mom and took her by the arm and dragged her into the living room and showed her the painting she made and begged her mom to hang it up in her bedroom and mom almost cried! This is my favorite memory because with children the smallest things make them the happiest in the whole world. I may have spent my whole paycheck that week but I would do it again just to see the smile on her face!
