My experience with special needs children...
I nannied an 8yo boy with autism for a year, volunteered with the Penguin Project in my hometown (musical for kids with special needs - down syndrome, autism, mental illnesses, ADHD, cerebral palsy, etc.) I currently serve with the special needs children’s ministry at Beltway Park North on Sunday mornings! I also worked in a group home for adults with disabilities for a year when I lived in Minneapolis (cerebral palsy, TBI).
