More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have extensive experience caring for children in a variety of settings. I began babysitting at age 12 after earning a certification and have since worked as a full-time nanny for several families, providing personalized care for children of all ages, including infants, toddlers, and school-aged kids. I have also supported children with special needs and behavioral challenges. In addition to in-home care, I spent three years in classroom environments as a substitute teacher, where I led lessons, managed behavior, and created engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. I also worked for a foster care agency, supporting children with trauma histories by creating safe, nurturing environments. These roles have strengthened my ability to adapt to different needs, communicate effectively with children and parents, and provide consistent, compassionate care in both structured and flexible environments.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Arts & Crafts – Painting, coloring, DIY projects, and sensory crafts to encourage creativity and fine motor skills.
Outdoor Play – Nature walks, scavenger hunts, trips to the park, or backyard games to keep kids active and connected to nature.
Educational Games – Fun activities that build early math, reading, or science skills—like counting games, letter matching, or simple experiments.
Story Time – Reading books together or creating your own stories to foster imagination and literacy.
Music & Movement – Singing songs, dancing, or playing instruments for energetic fun and self-expression.
Role Play & Imaginative Play – Setting up play kitchens, puppet shows, or dress-up scenarios to encourage creativity and social development.
