A little bit about me

I started working with kids when I was about 11 years old. Since then, I've been helping take care of two of my little cousins that I live with. One of them has down syndrome and the other one has autism and ADHD, so I am well versed in taking care of kids who are neuro divergent. as well as that I have taken care of kids who are also neurotypical since I was 13.

In my spare time, I like to read, sing, go to bookstores or coffee shops, spend time with my friends, bake, and play with my pets.

One thing you should know about me is that I'm a very open-minded person. I don't care what type of religion you have, or what your sexual orientation is, I am very accepting of people who are different than me. As long as it doesn't hurt anyone, it doesn't bother me.

My skills include communication, patience, and honesty. I believe that all people including children should be able to be spoken to in a way that they can understand with honesty and kindness, and that kids also deserve patience.

My experience with special needs children...

I have been taking care of my special needs cousin for most of his life. I only recently started getting paid for it in 2020 under the Michelle P. Waiver program. I have done anything and everything for him including changing his diaper, cleaning up after him, providing meal preparation, giving him medicine, and taking him out in society to socialise.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was recently babysitting for three kids and the youngest kid decided she was going to put dawn dish soap all over her body. I found the situation funny and silly.
