More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have a B.A. in Special Education from Clemson University and am currently pursuing my M.A., with over 325 hours of classroom experience in public schools across various grade levels. I’ve worked one-on-one as a private tutor, helping students build foundational academic skills, and spent five summers as a staff member at Camp Anchor supporting children and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. I also worked in the infant room at a daycare, caring for babies 0–11 months, and was a summer nanny for a girl from age 10 to 13. I have extensive experience planning engaging lessons, collaborating with families, and supporting children of all abilities.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m a very crafty person and love doing art projects, painting, or DIY activities with kids. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, especially swimming, going on nature walks, playing games, or doing sidewalk chalk. I love creating fun, engaging moments that keep kids active and creative!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and consistent environment where children feel valued and cared for. I love building trust with both the child and their family, being someone they can count on for comfort, fun, and support. Helping kids grow, learn, and just feel happy in their day-to-day is what it’s all about for me.
My experience with special needs children...
I have extensive training in supporting students with a wide range of disabilities. I’ve worked with children and young adults with autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, and emotional/behavioral disorders in both school settings and one-on-one environments.
One of the most impactful experiences I’ve had was working at Camp Anchor in New York for five summers. There, I supported children and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities in daily living, social skills, and inclusive recreation. This experience helped me grow tremendously in patience, creativity, and individualized care. Supporting kids of all abilities has always been my passion, and I’m confident in creating safe, supportive, and engaging environments for every child.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was with a 11-year-old I cared for, we went on a nature walk and collected leaves, flowers, and little treasures. When we got back, we turned it all into the most creative art masterpiece, which she proudly gave to her mom for Mother’s Day. It was such a fun, thoughtful project and reminded me how meaningful those little moments can be!
