My experience with special needs children...
I have a cousin with high functioning autism that I would watch him a lot growing up until about a year ago. the family I nanny for currently has a neighbor friend that I watch a lot of the time as well, and bring him along to activities, he is 14. I also took my special needs class 8th-12th grade, where we helped them do all their schoolwork and activities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My top 3 because it’s to hard to choose just one, taking the little boy i nanny to the library and learning new things, the second is when i took him to the aquarium and he absolutely loved it, and my favorite of all was just laying with him when he was drinking milk, reading, falling asleep, etc.
