I was a volunteer at my stepmoms daycare, I currently babysit a 10 year old high functioning autistic boy, and have babysat infants all the way up to 12 year olds

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor- coloring, watching movies, playing with toys, imagination play, and high and seek.

Outdoor- tag, water play, flower picking, rock finding, and exploring/learning about nature.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having compassion and understanding is the most important part about being a nanny. Kids have strong emotions and as a nanny you have to be able to keep it under control and make sure they feel heard and understood.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with mostly high functioning autistic kids but I have worked with low functioning autistic kids too, just not as much.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Everyday when my kid comes in he greats me with a hug and an “I love you” ready and waiting to tell me.
