A little bit about me

As the youngest sibling in my family, I was very fortunate to become an aunt at 9 years old. At 15, I became the primary sitter for my 6 nieces & nephews, which introduced me to the joy of caring for children. For my high school internship, I developed a "transitions" course, assisting children with the changes of K- to-1st grade and 5th-to-6th grade. For 5 years, I was a lifeguard/ children's swim instructor at YMCA, and an activity leader for an aftercare program. I was employed at Disney World for 3 years, where making "magical moments" for children was my daily joy. I have a B. S. in Event Management from the University of Central Florida. I have worked as a full-time professional nanny for the past 4 years, and hope to have children of my own in the next few years.

The most important part about being a nanny...

when a 9 year old girl I was working with opened up to me, and said that I taught her the importance of kindness and empathy. When I started working with her, she had a mean streak and often bullied others. After several months together, this began to shift, and I started to see her sweet, caring side more often. It felt like a huge win when she told me that I helped teach her that its better to be kind.
