More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In 2019 I worked in childcare services at a church. I specifically worked with infants and toddlers at this job. My duties included maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, caring for the children (such as feeding, changing diapers, soothing, and etc.), and engaging/playing with the children. I have completed a practicum through FSU at a local preschool in Tallahassee. I was able to assist the preschool teacher. In 2020, I worked as a Registered Behavior Technician for one year. At this job, I worked with children who have autism. I implemented programs that were developed by a BCBA. Along with this, I cared for the children and engaged in fun and functional play with them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love and appreciate indoor activities that engage the children and provide a fun challenge. For infants and toddlers, I love creating sensory play for them. For preschool-age children, I enjoy working with them on puzzles, providing them with art/painting supplies, and reading with them. As for outdoor play, one thing I like to do with children is enjoy nature together. Pointing out bugs, lizards and collecting fun little items.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Creating a strong bond with the child/children. Engaging with the child/children in fun ways that promote learning. And always validating the child's emotions.

My experience with special needs children...

I am a Registered Behavior Technician. I have worked in a clinic with children who have autism.
