Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started my childcare experience as a camp counselor for a few summers at the age of 16. My responsibilities included planning and leading programs, supervising children in large groups, and taking part in the development and growth of children. Throughout high school and college I was a babysitter for a few families. Later on in life, I was a nanny / family helper for a lovely family. My responsibilities included chauffeuring kids around to school and baseball practices/playdates, taking them to outings, helping with homework, making lunch and dinner, general supervision including screen time, as well as some light housekeeping; (laundry, beds, dishes, trash, etc.)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love exploring the outdoors with kids. My favorite way to relax and exercise is to go hiking and backpacking, so I love passing that on to the little ones. Learning about new plant species is always fun! Connecting with nature and animals is grounding, and simultaneously an educational experience. I also highly enjoy creative/ artistic activities. Writing and painting are my passions in life, so yet another thing I have to pass on and teach :)
