A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Katherine and I have experience tutoring and babysitting children for the past four years. As a part time nanny I have worked with two different families for the total experience of one year. I have experience in education as I was a STEAM Teacher for both elementary and middle school children and I have experience as a Substitute Teacher and Teacher's assistant as well. I'm lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certified. Additionally, I have experience working in the kitchen as an entry level chef and I have worked in two kids summer camps one for martial arts and another as a live in activities facilitator in South Carolina. Furthermore, I have experience in cleaning from the jobs I have worked and as I assisted my family in their cleaning business while growing up. I am currently studying Recreational Therapy, so I have knowledge in developmently appropriate activities for children. I am a safe driver and a fun and dedicated worker. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing things the children are passionate about as well as crafts, science experiments, life skills, fun fitness, dance breaks, outdoor activities, board games, learning something new, and enjoying our time together. I especially take pride in helping them improve in whatever area they want or need to as well as building great character and morals in them. Additionally, I keep clear and open communication with the parents to see what they would like for their children.

I have volunteered with the YMCA Adaptive Sports in swimming and tennis. I have also volunteered with the FIU Embrace program, which does activities for adults with autism.
