A little bit about me

I'm a single mother of 2 daughter’s who are 28 and 16 years old. I have been working as a nanny since I was 18 years old. I have experience with kids of all ages. I have also watched more than one child at a time including triplets for two years. I had to take the past few years off because my father was sick and I was his primary caregiver. Sadly he passed away from Alzheimer’s a few months ago and I am now ready to get back to doing what I love. I am pretty flexible with days and hours and I have a safe car for any families who need their children to be driven to and from school or activities. I realize I am probably older than most applicants but I do have many years of experience and I raised my own children on my own. My youngest has a learning disability and ADHD so I have experience with children who may have learning difficulties. I do have references and have stayed friends with my former employers and children. It’s time to get back to doing what I love.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Treating the children in my care the same way I would my own. I understand how difficult it is to leave children with people who aren't family and kids need attention and not sitting in front of the TV but fresh air,trips to parks and fun adventures . I enjoy doing those things and more with children in my care Caring for children is something I love and the most important part of being a nanny is for the child to feel safe, secure, and happy.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with a child with cerebral palsy. He used a wheelchair and i learned so much from him he was such an inspiration. Also both my children have special needs so I do have a lot of experience with their subject

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was taking the little girl I nannied to Disney with my family. I became very close to this family and we are all still close. They trusted me with their daughter and when they had twins four years later I became their nanny until they started school. I made life long friends in some of my jobs
