A little bit about me

I am a retired early childhood teacher educator, who prepared teachers for the classroom; mother of two and grandmother of two. I have more than 40 years experience working with young children. I am loving and fun and have recently worked as a nanny for two different infants. My special gift is working with first-time parents and their young babies. I am able to help with feeding, sleep and other issues common in the first year. I have extensive experience and expertise in child development and parenting. I consider myself a caretaker of parents as well as children, and prefer to work with one baby and family at a time. I work exclusively in the northwest Philadelphia area, Germantown, Mt. I enjoy reading, music, games, arts and crafts, outdoor walks. Because language development in early childhood is so critical listening to and talking with young children is an important component of my work.

Providing loving support for children’s development, while supporting needs of parents. While being a nanny is primarily about the child, I also recognize that turning over care to another adult is difficult for parents. Parents also go through their own milestones as their children grow, and support and caring from a knowledgeable nanny can be invaluable.
