A little bit about me

I fully homeschooled five children into college and have three currently there. I have years of paid experience nannying and decades of unpaid experience. I have been an early education and phonics teacher for the last ten years. I love working with babies and toddlers and have lots of experience in housekeeping and meal prep. I would prefer a live out situation but might be willing to consider a different option for the right circumstances. I am currently working with a family and cover W-F for them. So I would not be available during that period.

I am allergic to cats and generally will not take a position in a household that has any. I like cats, but I enjoy breathing more!

I have been a teacher for a homeschool consortium for several years. I am working as a nanny currently and have done so in the past.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is caring for the child/ children and ensuring that the parents are as much a part of that care as is possible. With infants I have watched, I have been able to send daily photos to mom & dad with info about how the day is going while they were away. Once children are older I have been able to give parents a break from homework duty while still giving a synopsis so that no one loses touch. I love to be that assistant that keeps the wheels of the family turning so that they can be more free to enjoy time together.
