Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have done lots of volunteer work with children, both working at my church every week for many years and also volunteering with youth theater programs. I was also able to intern in Japan, working in the schools there to teach English! I have gotten to learn many new things by just being in many different environments, but I'm always willing and eager to learn more!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love being outside, especially playing with chalk and blowing bubbles! Music, singing, and dancing are always so fun as well and doing crafts, like painting, coloring, and making jewelry are always so much fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe that being in any childcare role comes with a huge responsibility. Not just for a child's physical safety, but also for their social and emotional well-being. It can be difficult being a kid and sometimes not being able to completely understand or express how they are feeling. I believe that the most important part about nannying is showing kindness, warmth, and love to every child and parent.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for one child mostly who is autistic. I was both a supervisor in his Sunday school classroom and then later became his babysitter.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my sweetest, funniest, most adorable moments in nannying happened when I was caring for my favorite family of five! This was soon after the movie Encanto came out, and the kiddos were obsessed! So obsessed that they acted out and sang (acapella, might I add) "We Don't Talk About Bruno," which included harmonies and dialogue. Every child had a role and I was absolutely blown away. It was adorable, hilarious, and incredibly impressive!
