Hello, here's a little background of my education with young children. While in high school, I took part in the ECE program where I not only learned how to properly care for infants and young children via coursework and exams (provided by DCF) but also by having hands-on experience. Through this, I learned about food safety, sleep safety, and learning milestones for infants and young children. Currently, I am a part-time nanny for a one year old.

Although activities can vary based on the age of a child, some activities that I enjoy doing with children of all ages are: going for walks, reading books, singing songs, and learning new things (the world is their oyster).
The most important part about being a nanny...
Personally, I think the most important part about being a nanny is safety!!! Being safe includes knowing what is safe for a child at each age. This can include food, and physical safety (this includes both being aware of you and most importantly the child's surroundings and also whether or not the child can physically complete an activity safely or not). Along with being safe, it is also important to have fun with the child(ren).
