More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In high school, I helped out with elementary ages in Sunday school. Also, there is a large age gap between my younger sisters and I, so I grew up helping out. Currently they are 11 and 16 and I still spend plenty of time with them.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking walks, visiting gardens and parks, and finding fun experiences like farm visits, horseback riding, renaissance faires, plays and concerts (ones appropriate for kids, of course, like the symphony!), and so on. I am also crafty and love to find new art projects, especially when they reuse items that are laying around the house or using nature (leaves, twigs, etc).
The most important part about being a nanny...
Meeting the kid(s) at the level they need, while respecting the wishes of the legal guardian(s) is most important to me. I remember when I was a kid I couldn't stand the phrase "because I said so" or when certain things weren't explained. In some situations, if things are urgent, you do what you have to do. But in the average day-to-day life, using the "because I'm the adult" excuse only creates a divide between the adult and the child. Because of that, growing up I felt many adults acted like kids were incapable of learning or not worth their time. Kids are curious and, again while respecting the limits of the guardian(s), I believe in taking the extra time to explain things to them in a way that shows I trust they have the capacity to understand and learn. This can help nurture curious minds that stay willing to learn as they get older. This also helps them have healthier relationships with adults and can build their confidence.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Kalispell, MT: Amber R.
I grew up in the Flathead Valley & raised both of my two boys here as a single mom while also working as a hairstylist. Being a hairstylist allowed me the freedom to create my own schedule and be present for all the big moments in my boys life's once they started school. I was able to chaperone every field trip and be there for every game. Those days when they're little can be so hectic, but they move so very fast. Before you know it, they're graduating and the role of parent takes a backburner.
I have always been such a caretaker, specifically great with children, & I truly feel that I would be the best fill in for busy parents to care for their children as I did my own.
I stopped doing hair after 25 years as a stylist due to physical strain building up on my body, & have tried my hand in the corporate world. I have no problem working full time, but I miss the innocence of little ones and how life is more about being present then dealing with power struggles.

Hi I'm Sarah! I'm a childcare worker (early childhood teacher. ) I'd love to get the chance to be a nanny. I've worked in 4 daycares. Starting with my aunt's peggy's funny farm, and she's who introduced me to the life of being a child's role model. I also have 10 nieces and nephews and still counting. I love observing the kids learn, grow and play. I hope to get the chance to be a in home nanny. I'd be willing to do light housework as well as meal prep as well as special needs children.
